The unit arrives pre-programmed so it works immediately after inserting batteries. It is intended for owners of those specific AIWA devices who have lost or damaged their original remote.

Infrared Operation

The remote communicates using infrared technology requiring direct line of sight to the device. It is powered by standard AAA batteries which are not included in the package. Power draw is minimal during normal button presses. There are no cooling fans or active components so operation is completely silent.

Ready To Use

No programming or setup software is required because the remote ships with all original functions installed. Simply insert the batteries and it controls the target AIWA equipment instantly. The package includes the remote unit only with no additional accessories or cables. Buyers who need multi-device control or smart-home integration should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the AIWA 87NF6630010 replacement remote for my device?

Insert two AAA batteries, then point the infrared emitter at the Aiwa unit; the remote arrives pre-programmed with the 87NF6630010, CXNA31U, ZR554 and ZR330 code sets so no manual entry is required.

What ongoing maintenance will the CXNA31U universal remote need?

Replace the two AAA batteries when the infrared range noticeably drops; no firmware updates or recalibration are involved.

What is the first limitation I will hit during a long viewing session with the ZR554 remote?

Battery depletion — the infrared transmitter draws constant current, so after extended use the AAA cells will need changing before any other component fails.
