Replacement remote for AIWA models

This universal remote is a direct replacement for AIWA U0136383U, ZR775, RC7AS01 and RC7AS02 handsets. It supports control of one device and replicates every button from the original remote. The unit arrives pre-programmed so it works immediately after inserting batteries. It is intended for owners who need a like-for-like substitute.

Infrared control limited to one device

The remote communicates only by infrared, so it requires direct line of sight to the AIWA component. It can store commands for a single device at a time and cannot operate multiple pieces of equipment. There is no radio-frequency or Bluetooth capability for through-cabinet use. Buyers who want a multi-device or smart-home controller will need a different solution.

Battery installation and immediate use

Two AAA batteries are required and are not supplied with the remote. Once batteries are fitted the handset is ready to operate without any setup steps. The most common issue is weak or incorrectly oriented cells causing intermittent response. A twelve-month guarantee covers defects in materials or workmanship.

Questions about this item

This remote supports only one device — will it still cover every function of my Aiwa U0136383U?

Yes, it is a direct replacement programmed with every button from the original U0136383U, ZR775, RC7AS01 and RC7AS02 remotes, so all functions are available for the single supported device.

The description says "ready-to-use" — does that mean it works the moment I insert the batteries?

Exactly — the unit ships with the Aiwa codes already installed, so fitting two AAA batteries makes it operational without any setup or programming steps.

It uses infrared — how far away can I reliably control the Aiwa unit?

Infrared requires line-of-sight; typical living-room distances of a few metres work fine, but walls or cabinets will block the signal.
