Direct replacement for Topaz SR20

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original Cambridge Audio Topaz SR20 handset. It arrives with every button function pre-installed so it works immediately after inserting the batteries. The unit supports a single device and communicates via infrared. No programming or setup is required.

Ideal for owners needing a spare or replacement

Buyers who have lost or damaged the original Topaz SR20 remote will find this unit restores full control instantly. Households wanting a second handset for another room can also use it straight from the box. It is not suitable for users who need to control multiple pieces of equipment from one remote.

Controls one device via infrared only

The specification that decides fit is the single-device infrared design. This remote operates the Topaz SR20 alone and cannot command additional components such as a television or streaming box. If your system requires a multi-device controller, this model will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Does the remote need anything besides the two AAA batteries to control the Topaz SR20?

No, once batteries are inserted the remote is pre-programmed with every original button function and works immediately.

Will this remote interfere with other Cambridge Audio components that also use infrared?

It only sends the Topaz SR20 command set, so other Cambridge Audio units that share the same IR codes may respond to the same buttons.

How can I confirm the remote is operating correctly after inserting the batteries?

Point it at the SR20 and press any button; the amplifier should react exactly as it did with the original handset.
