Three-pack 11×17 poster frames

This set contains three identical black frames sized for 11 by 17 inch prints. Each frame uses lightweight plastic strips and a shatterproof cover with a protective film that must be removed before use. The modern style suits home, office, gallery or classroom walls. Horizontal or vertical hanging is supported by two sturdy hangers on the back.

Slide-together assembly limits

The four plastic strips slide into each other around the cover and backboard, a method chosen to keep large frames light enough for simple wall fixings. Because the joints rely on friction, strong impacts can separate the corners; they can be slid back together without tools. The shatterproof cover resists scratches and moisture but is not glass and will flex under pressure.

Replaces single heavy frames

Buyers who currently use one bulky glass-front frame for an 11×17 poster gain a lighter, safer alternative that is easier to swap and less risky around children or pets. The three-pack also suits anyone building a small gallery wall without buying frames individually. It does not suit buyers who want a rigid glass front, a wood or metal moulding, or a single frame larger than 11×17 inches.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 11x17 three-pack or look for an 8x10 or 11x14 frame instead?

Choose the 11x17 three-pack when you have full-size movie posters, video-game art or children's artwork that measure 11 by 17 inches; the 8x10 and 11x14 frames are smaller and will crop or leave borders on those prints.

How large will an 11x17 poster actually look on my wall once the frame is mounted?

The finished frame measures 11 inches wide by 17 inches high by .99 inch deep, so the artwork fills an 11-by-17-inch window and the whole unit sits less than an inch off the wall.

What mounting system does the frame use and how much weight can it hold?

Two sturdy hangers on the backboard allow vertical or horizontal hanging on a single nail or screw; the lightweight plastic strips and shatterproof cover keep the total weight low enough for standard drywall fixings.
