40.5mm Thread ND16 Filter Plus+
The Urth 40.5mm Circular ND16 4-Stop Lens Filter Plus+ fits lenses with a 40.5mm front thread. It uses German SCHOTT B270 glass with 20 nano-coating layers to cut reflections and resist water, oil and scratches. The ultra-slim rim helps avoid vignetting on wide-angle lenses. A double-threaded design allows stacking or a lens cap.
Landscape and video shooters needing motion blur
Photographers who want slower shutter speeds in bright light for silky water or cloud movement will benefit. Videographers gain wider apertures for shallow depth of field without overexposure. Buyers whose lenses have a different thread size must use a step ring. Those needing variable density or stronger light reduction should consider other filter types.
4-stop density for bright daylight control
The ND16 factor reduces light by 16 times, giving four stops of exposure latitude. This comfortably handles sunny conditions at base ISO with wide apertures like f/1.8 or f/2.8. In extremely harsh midday sun, four stops may not be enough for very long exposures. Stacking with another filter adds density but can increase flare risk.

Questions about this item
Does my lens need a 40.5mm front thread to accept this filter?
Yes, the filter mounts on any lens with a 40.5mm filter thread.
Can I still screw a 40.5mm lens cap or another filter onto the front of this filter?
The double-threaded rim accepts a 40.5mm cap or a second filter on top.
How can I verify the filter is not adding a colour shift after I fit it?
Shoot a neutral grey card or white surface and check that the RGB values remain balanced.
