40.5mm Neutral Night Filter

This 40.5mm circular filter uses premium Neodymium glass to cut light pollution for night photography and astrophotography. It is designed for professionals and enthusiasts who want truer colors and sharper details in low-light scenes. The coated glass ensures natural color balance without unwanted warm casts. It suits any shooter needing cleaner night images.

Double-threaded ultra-slim rim

The ultra-slim Magnalium rim prevents vignetting on wide-angle lenses and allows a lens cap to fit over the filter. Double threading lets you stack another filter or attach a cap without removing this one. Twenty layers of nano-coating repel water, oil, and scratches while making cleaning easier. No special tools or adapters are required for standard 40.5mm threads.

40.5mm thread size

This filter only fits lenses with a 40.5mm front thread. Check your lens barrel or cap for the exact diameter before ordering. It will not work on larger or smaller thread sizes without a step ring. The 20-layer nano-coating maintains high light transmission and a consistent transmission curve for professional clarity.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the filter is cutting light pollution correctly after attaching it?

Shoot a night scene with artificial lighting; the filter's Neodymium glass should suppress the warm colour cast so stars and city lights render with natural hues and improved contrast.

What accessories are included and what must I purchase separately?

The filter ships with the 40.5mm threaded glass in its ultra-slim Magnalium rim; you only need to add a compatible lens cap or cleaning cloth if your kit lacks them.

Which thread size should I select for my lens?

Choose the 40.5mm version when your lens barrel or existing filter shows a 40.5mm thread marking; the double-threaded rim also lets you stack another 40.5mm filter or cap on top.
