49mm Hard Graduated ND8 Filter

The Urth 49mm Hard Graduated ND8 3-Stop Lens Filter Plus+ reduces light by three f-stops across half the frame to balance bright skies with darker foregrounds. It uses professional German SCHOTT glass with 20 nano-coating layers for high transmission and resistance to water, oil and scratches. The ultra-slim, double-threaded rim allows stacking or a lens cap.

Check thread size and focal length

Verify that your lens has a 49mm filter thread before ordering. The manufacturer advises using this hard-edged filter with focal lengths of 35mm and above; for ultra-wide lenses a soft graduation is recommended to avoid a visible transition line. The double-threaded design accepts standard 49mm caps or additional filters.

Consistent density under prolonged use

The fixed ND8 density does not vary with temperature or time, so exposure stays stable during long exposures for motion blur or smooth water effects. The 20-layer coating resists flare and ghosting even when the filter faces strong directional light for extended periods. Cleaning remains easy after repeated field use.
