95 mm UV filter for lens protection

The Urth 95 mm UV Lens Filter Plus+ threads onto compatible front elements to block ultraviolet light and shield the glass from scratches, dirt and oil. Photographers and videographers who want clearer images without adding colour cast will find it suited to daily shooting. The slim frame avoids vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

30-layer nano-coated Schott glass transmission

German Schott glass with 30 nano-coating layers delivers high light transmittance while suppressing flare and ghosting in bright or backlit scenes. The coating also repels water and oil, so fingerprints wipe clean without streaks. No power draw or thermal concerns apply to this passive optical accessory.

95 mm thread diameter

The filter fits only lenses with a 95 mm front thread; it will not mount on smaller or larger diameters. Buyers who need a different thread size must choose another model. Verify the lens barrel marking before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the 95 mm filter onto my lens without cross-threading the threads?

Align the filter squarely with the lens front thread, turn gently until you feel the first engagement, then rotate smoothly — forcing it at an angle strips the fine 95 mm pitch.

What upkeep will the 30-layer nano-coating need over time?

Blow off dust with a rubber blower, then wipe lightly with a microfibre cloth and lens-cleaning fluid; the coating resists oil and scratches, so avoid abrasive tissues or heavy pressure.

At what point does the UV cut stop improving haze reduction in strong sunlight?

The filter blocks ultraviolet wavelengths that cause blue cast, but once ambient UV is fully absorbed — typically midday at high altitude — extra exposure time yields no further haze benefit.
