Four-in-one NEMA adapter cable
This 1 ft cable converts a standard 5-15P 15 A 125 V household plug into four different receptacles: 5-15R, 5-20R, 6-15R and 6-20R. It lets technicians and equipment owners connect devices with 15 A or 20 A inlets to a common wall outlet without carrying multiple single-purpose adapters.
Voltage and amperage constraints
The 12 AWG copper conductors are rated for the plug’s 15 A 125 V supply, so any 20 A receptacle on the adapter cannot deliver more than 15 A continuous current. Devices plugged into the 6-15R or 6-20R sockets must accept a wide input range of 110 V to 220 V because the adapter does not transform voltage.
Capacity and headroom
The cable comfortably powers 125 V loads up to 15 A such as office peripherals, test instruments or chargers that use 5-15R or 5-20R inlets. It cannot support equipment that genuinely requires a 20 A branch circuit or a dedicated 250 V supply beyond the device’s own wide-range input capability.

Questions about this item
Which of the four NEMA outlet types should I pick for my device?
Choose the outlet that matches your equipment's plug: 5-15R for standard 125 V 15 A devices, 5-20R for 125 V 20 A gear, 6-15R for 250 V 15 A units, or 6-20R for 250 V 20 A units.
What does the 12 AWG rating mean when the cable is plugged into a real circuit?
The 12 AWG copper conductors are rated for up to 20 A, so the cable can carry the full 15 A or 20 A load of any connected outlet without overheating.
How does the 5-15P plug limit what I can actually draw from the 20 A or 250 V outlets?
The 5-15P male plug only fits a 125 V 15 A wall receptacle, so the adapter cannot deliver more than 15 A at 125 V regardless of the female outlet's higher rating.
