4-Pack Water-Resistant Cord Protector Set

This four-piece set shields extension-cord connections from rain, snow and ice. Each black capsule-shaped cover fits cords up to 12 gauge and accepts standard three-prong plugs. The .4-inch wire openings create a tight seal around cables. Heavy-duty plastic construction with rubber gaskets prevents water ingress and accidental unplugging during outdoor use.

Simple Snap-On Installation

Place the connected plugs inside the large compartment and press the two halves together until the rubber seals engage fully. The capsule profile sheds water naturally, but the cover must be oriented with entry points facing downward for best results. A common mistake is leaving the latch partially open, which breaks the watertight barrier and lets moisture reach the contacts.

Suited for Seasonal and Temporary Outdoor Power

Homeowners running holiday lights, garden tools or workshop equipment through damp areas will benefit from the secure enclosure. The fixed 8.25-inch length and 2.75-inch diameter limit the plug size that can be housed, so users with bulky transformer blocks or industrial connectors should verify dimensions first. Permanent buried wiring or high-amperage circuits require code-approved enclosures instead.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the cover is sealing properly after I close it around my 12-gauge cord?

The 0.4-inch wire entry points grip the cord tightly and the rubber seals on all edges create a watertight closure that keeps rain, snow and ice out of the connector.

What comes in the package and do I need any extra parts to use it?

The set includes four black capsule-shaped protective covers; no additional components are required — just snap each cover around the plug connection.

Which version should I choose if my outdoor extension cords are 12-gauge?

This single model fits cords up to 12-gauge with an 8.25-inch length, 2.75-inch diameter and 0.4-inch openings, so it covers standard 3-prong plugs without needing a different size.
