Compatible radios

This two-pack supplies 7.2V 1800mAh Ni-MH battery packs built as direct replacements for Yaesu and Vertex two-way radios. It covers models including the VX-150, VX-160, VX-170, VX-180, VX-410, VX-420, FT-60R, FT-270 and the VXA aviation series. The packs also fit Standard Horizon marine radios such as the HX270S, HX370S, HX500S and HX600S. They replace OEM part numbers FNB-V57, FNB-64, FNB-83 and FNB-V94.

Ready to install

Each pack matches the original voltage and connector layout, so it slots into the radio without adapters or soldering. The Ni-MH chemistry works with the standard desktop chargers already supplied with the listed radios. Two units let you keep one on charge while the other powers the handset, removing downtime during long shifts or offshore passages.

Replaces depleted OEM cells

These packs take the place of worn factory batteries that no longer hold a full charge. The upgrade is worth it when transmit time drops below operational needs or when the radio shuts down under load. They are not suitable for radios that require a different voltage, connector keying or lithium chemistry.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1800mAh packs last during continuous transmit?

Runtime depends on the radio model and transmit power setting; the 1800 mAh capacity sets the energy available for any compatible Yaesu or Vertex unit.

Do the Ni-MH packs get hot or draw extra power during all-day use?

Ni-MH chemistry runs warm under heavy transmit but does not require active cooling; normal radio duty cycles keep temperature within safe limits.

Which radio models must I already own for these packs to fit?

Compatible models include VX-150, VX-160, VX-170, VX-180, VX-410, VX-420, FT-60R, FT-270 and the HX270, HX370S, HX500S, HX600S series.
