CD-58 Desktop Charger for VX Radios

The CD-58 rapid charger powers compatible Vertex Standard two-way radios using the included power adapter. It accepts a wide range of portable models including the EVX261, VX261, VX-P820, VX-P821, VX230, VX-231, VX260, VX264, VX350, VX351, VX354 and VX410 series.

Spacer Plate Requirement for FNB-V134 Batteries

A removable spacer plate sits inside the charger base and must be taken out when charging FNB-V134 or FNB-V134LI battery packs. Leaving the plate in place prevents proper contact for those specific batteries while other supported packs such as the FNB-126L through FNB-133L series charge with the plate installed.

Multi-Layer Safety Protection

The charger integrates temperature management, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, over-time protection, short-circuit protection and detection for un-chargeable or low-health batteries. These safeguards operate automatically during every charge cycle without user configuration.

Questions about this item

Which battery model from the FNB-126L to FNB-133L range suits my radio best?

Match the battery model printed on your pack — FNB-126L through FNB-133L all fit the CD-58 base with the spacer plate left in place.

What does the rapid-charge claim mean for a depleted FNB-V134LI pack?

The charger delivers a fast charge current while monitoring temperature and voltage, stopping automatically when the pack reaches full capacity.

Does the included power adapter use a standard barrel connector for the CD-58 base?

Yes, the supplied adapter plugs directly into the charger base; no extra cables or proprietary interfaces are required.
