Compatible Kenwood Batteries

The usbroway KSC-25 charges Ni-MH, Ni-CD and Li-ion packs used with Kenwood two-way radios. Supported batteries include the KNB-24L, KNB-25A, KNB-26N, KNB-35L, KNB-40LC, KNB-55L, KNB-56N and KNB-57L. It is built for fleets and individual operators who need a single charger for mixed battery chemistries.

Supported Radio Models

The unit works directly with radios such as the NX-220, NX-320, TK-2140, TK-2160, TK-2170, TK-2360, TK-3140, TK-3160, TK-3170, TK-3173 and TK-3360. Users can charge the battery while it remains attached to the radio or remove it for bench charging. This flexibility reduces downtime during shift changes.

Thermal And Power Behaviour

Rapid charging completes in a shorter cycle than standard desktop units. The charger regulates current for each chemistry to limit heat build-up in the pack. No active cooling fan is fitted, so operation stays silent in office or vehicle environments.

Questions about this item

How long does a full charge take for a KNB-57L battery?

The KSC-25 is a rapid charger, so a KNB-57L pack reaches full capacity much faster than a standard trickle unit, typically within a few hours depending on remaining charge.

Does the charger fan run loudly during an overnight charge cycle?

The unit uses passive cooling with no internal fan, so it stays completely silent while charging a KNB-40LC or any other supported pack through the night.

Which Kenwood battery packs must I already own for this charger to work?

It accepts KNB-24L, KNB-25A, KNB-26N, KNB-35L, KNB-40LC, KNB-55L, KNB-56N and KNB-57L packs, covering Ni-CD, Ni-MH and Li-ion chemistries.
