Industrial Workers and Emergency Responders

This holster suits workers in oil refining, petrochemical, marine transport, construction, and all branches of the military. It also serves law enforcement, security, search and rescue, fire, and EMS personnel. Buyers who need a chest mount, belt clip, or vehicle dock should look at alternative mounting styles not offered by this model.

Adjustable Radio Pouch Fit

The adjustable pouch accommodates radios measuring from 4-3/4 inches up to 8-1/2 inches tall. This range determines whether a specific handset will sit securely inside the holster. The straps also adjust fully to fit both men and women comfortably over clothing or gear.

Questions about this item

How do I adjust the shoulder strap so the radio pouch stays secure while moving?

Lengthen or shorten the strap until the pouch sits high on the chest, then tighten the buckle until the radio cannot swing; the step most users miss is re-checking the fit after adding clothing layers.

Which part of the holster will wear out first and need replacement?

The strap buckle and stitching at the pouch opening endure the most stress; inspect them monthly and replace the strap assembly if the buckle no longer locks or threads fray.

What limits how long I can wear the SSRH-500 continuously before discomfort sets in?

The unpadded nylon strap concentrates weight on one shoulder; after several hours the pressure point becomes the practical limit for continuous wear.
