Halogen bulb for projection and display

The Ushio 1000524 FFW JP120V-2000WC is a 2000W halogen lamp with an R7s base designed for 120V supply. It delivers 5700 lumens at a 3200K colour temperature, producing a bright white output suited to projector enclosures, showcase displays, track lighting and ceiling fixtures in residential or commercial settings. The rated life is 125 hours.

Upgrade from lower-output halogen

This bulb replaces lower-wattage halogen or standard incandescent lamps where higher lumen output and a whiter 3200K colour are required for projection or accent tasks. The jump is worthwhile when the fixture and circuit can support 2000W and the application demands the increased brightness for limited-duration use such as presentations, exhibitions or photographic lighting.

Verify R7s base, 120V supply

Before ordering, confirm the socket accepts an R7s recessed single-contact base and that the supply voltage is 120V. Ensure the fixture, wiring and any dimmer or ballast are rated for 2000W continuous load, and that ventilation can handle the heat from a C-8 filament lamp with a 125-hour rated life.

Questions about this item

Does the R7s recessed single-contact base fit my existing double-ended socket?

Yes, the R7s base is the standard double-ended halogen socket, so it seats directly without an adapter.

What is the correct way to handle the quartz envelope during installation?

Wear clean gloves or use a lint-free cloth; skin oils create hot spots that shorten the 125-hour rated life.

How often will I need to replace this 2000 W halogen lamp?

At the rated 125 hours, expect replacement after roughly 125 hours of use.
