  • High-purity construction limits depreciation to 20-25% at end of life
  • Suitable for water, air and surface disinfection in multiple applications

Purpose and audience

The Ushio G15T8 is a 15 W germicidal lamp built for disinfection tasks in water treatment, air handling, food processing and laboratory environments. It suits facilities that need reliable UV-C output for scheduled sterilisation cycles rather than general illumination.

Build and connection

The low-pressure mercury-arc tube uses a specially formulated coating to sustain high UV-C emission across its rated life while a low mercury dose meets environmental requirements. Its standard bi-pin base fits existing G15T8 fixtures, so installation is a direct swap without wiring changes.

Thermals noise and power

At 15 W the lamp runs cool and silent, adding negligible heat or acoustic load to the system. Output averages 20 to 25 percent depreciation by the 8000 hour rated life, so UV-C intensity at the 253.7 nm peak remains stable through most of the service interval.
