UTEK 172 mm 24 V case fan
The UTEK DA17251B24U is a 172 x 172 x 51 mm case fan built for 24 V systems. It draws 4.14 A and uses a high-temperature three-wire connection. The frame is black painted aluminium alloy die-cast and the blades are injection-moulded. It is designed for cabinet or industrial cooling where 24 V power is available.
Suited for 24 V enclosures and industrial cabinets
This fan fits enclosures wired for 24 V and needing a 172 mm square footprint with 51 mm depth. It is not for builds that only provide lower voltage fan headers, nor for chassis that cannot accept a 51 mm thick frame. Buyers needing PWM speed control or a different voltage should look elsewhere.
24 V 4.14 A power requirement
The single specification that decides fit is the 24 V 4.14 A electrical rating. The fan must be connected to a 24 V supply capable of delivering at least 4.14 A. If the system cannot meet that voltage and current, the fan will not operate correctly.

Questions about this item
How often will the double ball bearings in the DA17251B24U need replacement under continuous operation?
Double ball bearings are rated for long service life; with clean intake air and no shaft load they typically run for years before any bearing service is required.
What limits continuous running of the 24V 4.14A motor before thermal protection activates?
The motor draws 4.14 A at 24 V; sustained operation is limited by the winding temperature rise and the high-temperature three-wire lead insulation rating.
How much heat and noise does the 172×172×51 mm aluminium frame fan produce at full 24 V load?
At 24 V the fan moves high airflow through the injection-moulded blades; the black painted aluminium frame conducts heat away while bearing noise stays low for a 170 mm class fan.
