Product Purpose

The UVTaoYuan TY-COB-2MU1 is a 6.56ft COB LED strip light powered by a 5V USB connection. It delivers 6500K white light at up to 1300 lumens using 640 LEDs across the 2m length. Touch control provides dimming from 20% to 100% for cabinet, TV bias, or decorative accent lighting.

Power Constraints

The strip requires a 20W 5V 3A power supply to operate without flicker or USB port overheating; lower-output ports cannot sustain the 10W draw reliably. The adhesive backing adheres only to dry, clean, smooth surfaces, and the silicone construction is rated for indoor use only.

Upgrade Context

This product replaces single-colour LED tapes that show visible diode spacing or lack integrated dimming. The jump is worth it when you need uniform COB output, touch dimming without a separate controller, and a USB power format for portable or fixed low-voltage installations.

Questions about this item

Which length and colour temperature should I choose for under-cabinet lighting?

The single listed version is 6.56 ft (2 m) of 6500 K white COB strip with 640 LEDs, delivering 1000–1300 lumens at 10 W.

How bright is 1300 lumens once the strip is installed under a cabinet?

At 1300 lumens over 6.56 ft the light provides strong, even task lighting for countertops; the touch dimmer lets you reduce output smoothly from 20 % to 100 %.

What does the 5 V USB interface mean for power supply limits?

It requires a 5 V 3 A (20 W) USB supply; lower-current ports will cause flicker or unstable operation.
