An aluminium water-cooling radiator with 18 tubes and G1/4 fittings for custom liquid loops
This 270 mm long black aluminium radiator provides eighteen internal channels for liquid flow. It accepts tubing with an inner diameter of 8 to 12 mm and an outer diameter of 11 mm via standard G1/4 inch threads. The unit suits builders assembling a custom water‑cooling circuit for a CPU or industrial heat source.
Replacing a basic air cooler or a thinner single‑row radiator with this 30 mm thick core adds significant surface area for heat exchange. The jump is worthwhile when the existing loop cannot shed enough heat under continuous load and the case can accommodate the 270 x 120 mm footprint with 105 mm mounting centres.
Under sustained load the aluminium fins and eighteen tubes spread thermal energy across the full 270 mm length, allowing the liquid temperature to stabilise rather than climb rapidly. The black oxidation finish aids emissivity during prolonged operation. No fans, pump or fittings are included, so sustained performance depends on the airflow and flow‑rate the builder supplies.

The radiator measures 270 mm long, 120 mm wide and 30 mm thick. Mounting holes are spaced 105 mm apart, so allow at least that much clear space.
Hand-tighten each G1/4 fitting until the O-ring seats, then give a quarter turn with a spanner. Over-tightening the soft aluminium threads is the common mistake.
Drain and refill the loop every 12–18 months, or sooner if the fluid darkens or particles appear. Aluminium channels can corrode if old coolant is left too long.
