2-Port DisplayPort KVM Switch

The V2 Technologies 2-Port DisplayPort 1.2 USB KVM Switch lets you control two DisplayPort computers from a single 4K monitor, keyboard and mouse. It supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 8-bit colour and 21.6Gbps bandwidth. A built-in USB 3.0 hub adds four ports for peripherals such as printers, drives or cameras. Stereo audio output and microphone input are also provided. All required cables are included in the package.

Desktop users needing dual-PC control

This switch suits professionals who operate two DisplayPort workstations and want one monitor, keyboard and mouse setup. It also fits home-office users sharing a display between a desktop and a laptop with native DisplayPort outputs. Buyers whose sources only have HDMI, DVI or VGA outputs cannot use this unit because it does not work with passive or active DP-to-HDMI/DVI/VGA adapters. Mac users should note that hotkey commands use the CTRL key instead of Scroll Lock.

DisplayPort 1.2 with 21.6Gbps bandwidth

The single specification that decides compatibility is the DisplayPort 1.2 interface running at 21.6Gbps. Both connected computers must provide native DisplayPort 1.2 outputs to achieve 4K at 60 Hz 4:4:4. If either system lacks a native DisplayPort 1.2 port, the switch will not function as intended. HDCP 1.3 support is also present for protected content playback.
