5-in-1 External DVD Drive with Card Slots
This external DVD drive combines a USB 3.0 Type-C DVD burner with two USB ports and independent SD/TF card slots. It reads and writes CD and DVD media while letting you transfer photos, videos or music directly from memory cards to a computer or USB storage. The unit draws power from the host port and requires no separate adapter.
USB 3.0 Speed and Connector Limits
The drive uses USB 3.0 for data transfer up to 5 Gigabits per second and ships with both USB 3.0 Type-A and Type-C connectors. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, though transfer rates will fall to the slower standard. The interface supplies all necessary power, so no external power brick is needed.
Check Ports and OS Before Buying
Verify your device has a USB Type-A or Type-C port and runs Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, XP, Linux or any Mac OS version. The drive does not work with iPad, tablet, projector, TV, Chrome OS, car infotainment or smartphone. Ensure you need optical media read/write plus card-slot and USB-hub functions in one unit.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the USB-C or the USB 3.0 connector on this drive?
The drive includes both a USB-C and a USB 3.0 Type-A connector; use whichever port your laptop or desktop has available — both deliver the same plug-and-play operation.
What does the 5 Gbit/s USB 3.0 rating mean when I am burning a disc?
The 5 Gbit/s ceiling is the interface maximum; actual write speed will be limited by the disc media and the drive’s internal mechanics, so expect typical DVD burn rates well below that figure.
Does the USB 3.0 interface cap the SD and TF card transfer speeds?
Yes — all data from the SD and TF slots travels over the same USB 3.0 link, so card read/write speeds cannot exceed the 5 Gbit/s bus limit.
