902XL black ink for HP OfficeJet Pro

This two-pack supplies 902XL high-yield black cartridges rated at 900 pages each at five percent coverage. They are built for HP OfficeJet 6950, 6951, 6954, 6956, 6958, 6961, 6962, 6963, 6964 and OfficeJet Pro 6960, 6968, 6970, 6971, 6974, 6975, 6976, 6978, 6979 models. Buyers who need colour cartridges or a different page yield should look elsewhere.

Install by inserting the cartridge

Installation is a simple snap-in, but HP printers often push firmware upgrades that can block third-party chips. The maker advises turning off automatic update checks from the control panel under Settings, Printer Maintenance, Update Printer, then selecting Do Not Check. Skipping this step is the most common reason a new cartridge is not recognised.

Verify your exact printer model before ordering

Only the models listed above are confirmed compatible; other OfficeJet or OfficeJet Pro numbers may use a different cartridge series. Check the label on your current printer or the installed cartridge to ensure it reads 902XL or 902 XL. This pack contains black ink only, so colour printing requires a separate purchase.
