15-watt paging horn for indoor and outdoor use

The Valcom VC-V-1036C is a 15-watt one-way paging horn finished in beige. It includes a built-in amplifier and volume control so it operates without a separate power unit. The weather-resistant housing and stainless steel hardware suit both indoor and outdoor installations.

Omni-Lock I-Beam clamp and gang-box base

The Omni-Lock I-Beam clamp mounting system secures the horn to structural beams without extra brackets. A shatter-proof base fits seven standard electrical gang boxes, giving installers multiple attachment options. Full 360-degree rotation lets you aim the horn precisely after mounting.

Simple mounting with aiming flexibility

The clamp and gang-box base allow a single installer to hang and aim the unit using basic hand tools. Because the amplifier and volume knob are built in, there are no external modules to wire. The only common issue is ensuring the chosen gang box or beam can support the 4.6-pound weight before final tightening.

Questions about this item

How often does the built-in amplifier in the VC-V-1036C need servicing or replacement?

The integrated amplifier is sealed inside the weather-resistant housing with no user-serviceable parts, so no routine maintenance is required beyond keeping the grille clear of debris.

What limits continuous output on the 15 W paging horn during long announcements?

The 15 W rating is the thermal ceiling; sustained full-power use will hit that limit first, causing the built-in protection to reduce output until the driver cools.

How much heat and noise does the 1036C produce when powered all day in a 10.4" deep enclosure?

The unit runs warm but silent — no fan is present — and the beige aluminium horn dissipates heat passively, so ambient temperature rise is minimal in normal indoor or outdoor installations.
