Valkyrie Syn 240 White LCD liquid cooler

The Valkyrie Syn 240 White is an all-in-one liquid cooler built around a 240 mm aluminium radiator and a 2.4 inch LCD screen. It targets PC builders who want real-time temperature monitoring or custom GIFs visible inside the case while keeping a modern CPU cool. Two 120 mm fluid-dynamic-bearing fans and broad socket coverage make it a drop-in upgrade for mainstream Intel and AMD platforms.

Thermals noise and power draw

Dual X12 fans spin between 800 and 2150 RPM to push up to 80 CFM each with 3.14 mmH2O static pressure. At maximum speed the assembly stays at or below 29 dBA, so typical gaming loads remain quiet. PWM control lets the curve scale with CPU temperature, drawing only the power needed for the current load. The FEP corrugated braided sleeves keep coolant sealed during long-term operation.

Upgrade path and when it matters

This cooler replaces stock air coolers or older 120 mm AIOs that struggle with high-wattage CPUs such as Ryzen 7 7800X3D or Intel Core i9-14900K. The jump is worth it when thermal throttling appears in sustained workloads or when a builder wants the LCD dashboard without adding separate display hardware. It is not for systems limited to single-fan radiator mounts or cases that cannot fit a 240 mm radiator.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240 mm radiator and the two 120 mm X12 fans, and which step is most often missed?

Mount the radiator with tubes at the bottom or side, attach the fans as intake or exhaust, connect the pump header to CPU_FAN and the fans to the included Valkyrie hub, then power the hub from the PSU — forgetting the hub power cable is the step most builders miss.

What maintenance will the FEP corrugated braided sleeve tubing and the fluid dynamic bearing fans need later?

The sealed loop requires no coolant refill; inspect the 395 mm tubes once a year for kinks or abrasion, and clean dust from the 120 mm fan blades and radiator fins with compressed air every few months.

What limit appears first when the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or Intel Core i9-14900K runs a sustained load on this 240 mm cooler?

The 240 mm aluminium radiator surface area becomes the bottleneck; fan speed hits 2150 RPM and 80 CFM per fan while noise reaches 29 dBA before the coolant temperature stabilises.
