This valve provides manual on-off control for air, steam or water lines using a full-port chrome-plated brass ball inside a nickel-plated brass body. The straight two-piece design suits residential and light-commercial plumbing where a quarter-turn shut-off is required. It is not intended for combustible-gas service or for applications demanding a 3-A sanitary rating. Buyers needing a locking handle or a certified gas rating should select a different model.

Capacity 900 psi Water and 150 psi Steam

The valve withstands up to 900 psi for water and 150 psi for saturated steam, giving ample headroom for typical municipal or well-water systems and low-pressure steam loops. Vacuum service is rated to 29 in Hg, so the valve remains sealed under strong suction. It is not rated for combustible-gas pressure, so gas-piping installations must use an approved alternative.
