Quarter-Turn Brass Hose Bibb

The Value Brand 102-453HN is a brass hose bibb with a 1/2 inch FNPT inlet and a quarter-turn aluminium handle. It is built to ANSI B1.20.1, ANSI B1.20.7 and ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 standards. The no-kink design supports a maximum pressure of 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 180 degrees F.

Outdoor water connections needing quick shut-off

Suits installations where a quarter-turn handle provides faster operation than multi-turn alternatives. The brass body and aluminium handle withstand the rated pressure and temperature limits. Not for systems requiring a different inlet size, a different thread standard, or a handle material other than aluminium.

1/2 inch FNPT inlet specification

The inlet is 1/2 inch FNPT, so the bibb only fits piping with that exact thread type and size. Verify the existing supply connection matches this specification before purchase. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/2 in FNPT inlet thread onto my existing copper pipe without an adapter?

The inlet is 1/2 in FNPT to ANSI B 1.20.1, so it accepts a matching 1/2 in MNPT pipe thread directly.

How can I verify the quarter-turn handle is operating correctly after installation?

Turn the aluminium handle a quarter turn; water should flow smoothly from the no-kink outlet and shut off completely when returned to the closed position.

Does the box include any sealing tape, mounting screws or a vacuum breaker, or must I purchase them separately?

The hose bibb is supplied as the valve body with aluminium quarter-turn handle only; thread sealant, fasteners and any code-required vacuum breaker are separate purchases.
