Two-Hole Compression Lug 4 AWG

This ZORO SELECT copper lug terminates a single 4 AWG stranded copper conductor. It features a long barrel with a seamless design and a gray color code for die identification. The connector is UL Listed and CSA Certified for up to 600 V AC. It suits electrical and industrial wire applications requiring a reliable crimp connection.

Suitability and Alternatives

This lug fits projects needing a straight, two-hole mount with one inch hole spacing on a 3/8 inch stud. It is not for installers who require an inspection window to verify wire insertion. Buyers needing a different barrel length or a tongue angle other than straight must select another part.

Deciding Specification — 4 AWG Conductor Only

The connector accepts a minimum and maximum wire size of 4 AWG stranded copper exclusively. It cannot accommodate larger or smaller gauges. Verify your conductor size matches this single specification before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the copper lug need re-crimping after years of vibration?

The seamless barrel and single crimp termination are designed for a permanent joint; no scheduled re-crimping is required.

At what temperature does the 600 V AC rating become the limiting factor?

The lug is rated to 300 °F maximum operating temperature; sustained heat beyond that degrades the connection before the voltage limit is reached.

How hot does the copper barrel get when carrying full load all day?

The connector is rated for continuous operation up to 300 °F, so barrel temperature will stay within that limit under normal 4 AWG loading.
