Value Brand

Value Brand 45 Degree Elbow 3/4 NPT Malleable Iron 150 Class 834

SKU CH-NT79-M1B01

A 45-degree galvanised malleable iron elbow with 3/4 NPT female threads, rated Class 150

  • Directs flow at 45 degrees for smooth routing
  • Malleable iron body resists mechanical stress in service
  • Galvanized finish protects against corrosion in damp areas
  • Class 150 rating suits standard pressure plumbing systems
  • Female NPT threads on both ends simplify installation

Application & Purpose

This 45-degree elbow connects two female NPT threads of the same size to change piping direction. It suits plumbers and maintenance teams routing water, gas or air lines in residential and light commercial systems.

Deciding Specification

The fitting is rated Class 150 malleable iron with galvanized finish and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for listed chemicals. Buyers needing a higher pressure class or a different material must select another part.

Installation Notes

Thread sealant or tape is applied to the male threads before tightening to the recommended torque. The most common issue is cross-threading or over-tightening, which can crack the iron casting.

Questions about this item

What does the 45-degree angle do for pipe layout?

The 45-degree bend changes flow direction at a shallower angle than a right-angle fitting, allowing smoother routing around obstacles in galvanised malleable iron systems.

What does the 150 Class rating limit in service?

The Class 150 designation sets the pressure-temperature envelope for this malleable iron fitting in NPT threaded piping.

What thread size and type must the mating pipe have?

Each end requires a 3/4 inch NPT male thread to seal against the female NPT ports on this elbow.
