- Operates from -20 °F to 150 °F across seasonal extremes
Galvanized Malleable Iron Reducing Tee
This galvanized malleable iron reducing tee connects three pipe sections in a T configuration. The branch outlet is smaller than the two run outlets, allowing flow diversion or reduction. It is intended for plumbing installations that require a durable, corrosion-resistant fitting rated for water, oil, gas or saturated steam service.
Class 150 FNPT Threaded Connection Limits
The fitting uses FNPT threads to the ANSI B1.20.1 standard and carries a Class 150 pressure rating. Maximum non-shock working pressure is 300 psi at 150 °F for water, oil or gas. Saturated steam service is limited to 150 psi. The temperature range extends from -20 °F to 150 °F; operation outside this window is not supported by the rating.
4 in x 4 in x 1 in Capacity and Headroom
The 4 in run outlets handle high-volume main lines while the 1 in branch suits smaller distribution or drain lines. Within the 300 psi WOG limit the fitting provides ample headroom for typical residential and light-commercial pressures. It is not suited for systems that exceed the Class 150 pressure class or require temperatures above 150 °F.

Questions about this item
How do I choose between the available sizes for this reducing tee?
The tee is supplied in a single 4 in x 4 in x 1 in configuration with FNPT threads, so there are no alternative sizes to select for this model.
What does the 300 psi rating mean when the tee is installed in a water or gas system?
It indicates the maximum working pressure of 300 psi at 150 °F for water, oil or gas service; saturated steam service is limited to 150 psi.
What does the FNPT connection standard cap in practice?
FNPT follows ANSI B1.20.1 taper threads, providing a seal up to the 300 psi WOG limit when assembled with proper thread sealant.
