20 AWG GPT primary wire

This 20 AWG GPT primary wire uses stranded copper conductors with PVC insulation and is rated for 60 V. The 100 ft spool in blue is intended for low-voltage automotive circuits and general electrical hook-ups.

Simple cut-and-strip installation

Stranded construction makes the wire easy to route through tight spaces and simple to strip with standard hand tools. The main issue is using a connector or crimp not sized for 20 AWG, which can leave loose strands or a weak joint.

Confirm voltage and gauge needs

Verify that the circuit you are wiring operates at or below 60 V and that 20 AWG is the gauge specified for the load. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the insulation contains listed chemicals.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the wire is carrying 60 V correctly after installation?

Use a multimeter set to DC volts and measure across the copper conductor at the load; you should read the expected 60 V if the circuit is complete.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The package contains a 100 ft spool of blue 20 AWG stranded GPT primary wire with PVC insulation; you will need connectors, terminals and tools for termination.

Which gauge and length should I choose for a low-voltage automotive circuit?

This listing provides 20 AWG stranded copper in a 100 ft roll rated for 60 V; select it when your design calls for that gauge and voltage.
