Cam and Groove Adapter 4 in

This aluminum Type F adapter connects a 4 inch hose fitting to a 4 inch NPT male thread. It suits fluid-transfer systems that require a quick-disconnect cam-and-groove joint on one end and a standard pipe thread on the other.

Working pressure limit at 70 F

The fitting is rated for a maximum working pressure of 100 psi at 70 F. Operation above this pressure or at substantially higher temperatures may exceed the design limits of the aluminum body.

Male NPT thread size 4 In. -8

The connection uses a 4 In. -8 male NPT thread that must match the mating female port exactly. Verify the thread specification before installation to ensure a proper seal.

Questions about this item

Which cam and groove adapter type and size should I select for a 4-inch NPT connection?

This adapter is a Type F plug with a 4-inch coupling size and 4-inch male NPT thread, designed to match 4-inch NPT fittings.

What does the 100 psi rating at 70°F mean for everyday use?

It indicates the maximum working pressure the aluminum body can handle at 70°F; pressure capacity may decrease at higher temperatures.

How does the NPT thread standard affect sealing on this adapter?

The 4-inch male NPT thread relies on tapered threads and requires thread sealant or tape to create a leak-tight seal.
