Aluminium Eye Top for 1-5/8 Inch Posts
This aluminium eye top fits directly onto a 1-5/8 inch diameter fence post. It provides a secure attachment point for chain link fabric or tension wire. The unfinished surface accepts paint or galvanising after installation. It is supplied new and ready for immediate use.
Prop 65 Chemical Warning Applies
California Proposition 65 notices indicate this product contains chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Installers should wear gloves and avoid creating dust when cutting or drilling. The unfinished aluminium offers no factory coating to limit skin contact. Safe handling practices are the responsibility of the user.
9 Gauge Thickness Sets Load Limit
The 9 gauge wall thickness determines the fitting’s structural capacity under tension. It handles typical residential chain link loads without deformation. Heavier commercial gates or high-wind zones may exceed the design envelope. No alternative gauges or reinforced variants are described in the data.

Questions about this item
Which eye-top size matches my fence posts?
This eye top is built for 1-5/8 inch diameter posts, so choose it when your line or corner posts measure that size.
How does the unfinished aluminum hold up once installed?
The unfinished aluminum resists rust naturally and can be painted or left bare; the 9-gauge thickness gives it rigid strength for tension wire.
What does the Proposition 65 warning mean for daily use?
The warning flags a listed chemical in the alloy; normal handling and outdoor installation pose no acute risk, but wash hands after prolonged contact.
