ZORO SELECT Manual Post Driver

The ZORO SELECT manual post driver is built for farm, ranch and fence contractors who need to set posts without hydraulic or gas power. Its 28 lb steel body delivers the mass required to drive wood, metal or vinyl posts in a single motion.

Replaces lighter hand drivers and small gas units

When a crew installs dozens of posts per day, the heavier head cuts the number of blows per post and reduces operator fatigue. The jump is worth it on jobs where fuel, noise or maintenance of powered drivers are impractical.

Handles posts up to 3 1/2 in diameter

The tool comfortably drives standard line posts and corner assemblies in most soil conditions. It runs out when soil is extremely rocky or when post diameters exceed the stated maximum.

Questions about this item

What post diameter does the 3 1/2 in model accept?

The driver handles round posts up to 3 1/2 inches in diameter, which covers standard T-posts and small timber posts.

How do I operate the 28 lb steel driver without bending the post top?

Centre the tapered handle over the post, lift the 28 lb weight straight up, and let it fall vertically; an off-centre drop mushrooms the post.

Will the powder-coated finish need touch-up after a season of driving posts?

The powder coat resists chips, but scrape points on the bottom edge will show bare steel; hit those spots with a rust-inhibiting spray each spring.
