Heavy-Duty Vinyl Tarp 24 ft 6 in x 13 ft 4 in

This 20 mil black vinyl tarp is built for demanding outdoor coverage. The finished dimensions of 24 ft 6 in by 13 ft 4 in suit large equipment, vehicles or construction areas. Rope-reinforced hems with single stitching add edge strength. Brass grommets spaced 24 in apart provide secure tie-down points.

Weather Resistance and Handling

The vinyl material is waterproof, mildew resistant, tear resistant and UV resistant for extended outdoor exposure. An 18 oz per sq yd fabric weight makes the sheet substantial yet manageable for positioning. The non-breathable barrier blocks moisture completely. No insulation or high-visibility features are included.

Brass Grommets and Rope-Reinforced Edges

Brass grommets resist corrosion and accept rope, bungee cords or ratchet straps without tearing the hem. The 24 in spacing works with standard tie-down intervals. Rope-reinforced, single-stitched seams reduce the risk of pull-out under wind load. Buyers needing breathable fabric or insulated covers should consider other materials.

Questions about this item

How do I secure the 24 ft 6 in tarp using the brass grommets spaced 24 in apart?

Thread rope or bungee cords through each brass grommet along the rope-reinforced hem; the common mistake is skipping grommets, which creates stress points that tear the single-stitched seams in wind.

What maintenance will the 18 oz/sq yd vinyl tarp need over time?

Rinse salt and debris with fresh water, let it dry fully before folding to prevent mildew despite the mildew-resistant coating, and inspect the single-stitched seams and brass grommets annually for corrosion or stitching wear.

At what point does the 20 mil vinyl tarp reach its limit during sustained outdoor exposure?

The 20 mil thickness and UV-resistant coating delay degradation, but prolonged sun and heat will eventually embrittle the vinyl, causing cracks and loss of waterproof performance before the tear-resistant fabric fails.
