Heavy Duty Vinyl Tarp 9 ft 6 in x 11 ft 4 in

This heavy-duty vinyl tarp measures 9 ft 6 in by 11 ft 4 in finished size with a 20 mil thickness. It features brass grommets spaced 24 in apart and rope-reinforced, single-stitched seams. The tan cover is waterproof, mildew resistant, tear resistant and UV resistant for outdoor durability.

Practical limits of the vinyl construction

The material weighs 18 oz per square yard and is not breathable, so condensation can build underneath during temperature swings. It carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. The tarp is not insulated or high-visibility, limiting use in low-light or extreme cold conditions.

Installation notes and common issues

Brass grommets every 24 in provide regular tie-down points for ropes or bungee cords. The single-stitched, rope-reinforced edges can tear if subjected to sharp, concentrated loads or high wind flutter. Ensure the 9 ft 6 in by 11 ft 4 in finished dimensions match the coverage area before cutting or securing.

Questions about this item

What does the 20 mil thickness mean for everyday use?

At 20 mil the vinyl sheet is heavy duty, waterproof, UV resistant, mildew resistant and tear resistant, so it holds up to prolonged outdoor exposure without degrading.

How does the finished size of 9 ft 6 in by 11 ft 4 in differ from the cut size?

The cut size is 10 x 12 ft; hemming and rope reinforced single stitching reduce each dimension to the finished 9 ft 6 in by 11 ft 4 in.

What does the 24 in grommet spacing allow?

Brass grommets every 24 in give frequent tie down points along all edges for secure anchoring in wind or load covering.
