Standard-duty tarp for outdoor cover

This polyethylene tarp measures 11 ft 4 in by 24 ft 4 in finished size and provides waterproof protection for equipment, firewood or building materials. The blue cover is mildew resistant, tear resistant and UV resistant for extended outdoor use. It suits homeowners, contractors and farmers needing a reliable moisture barrier.

5.1 mil thickness defines durability

At 5.1 mil thick with a fabric weight of 3.4 oz per square yard, the tarp balances puncture resistance against weight for standard-duty tasks. Heat-sealed seams and rope-reinforced edges prevent delamination under tension. Buyers who need heavy-duty abrasion resistance or long-term structural cover should consider a thicker specification.

Aluminium grommets every 36 inches

Grommets spaced 36 in apart along the perimeter accept bungee cords, rope or zip ties for secure tie-down to frames, vehicles or ground stakes. The cut size of 12 by 25 ft yields the finished dimensions after hemming. The cover is not breathable and carries California Proposition 65 warnings for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What does the 5.1 mil thickness mean once the tarp is on a roof or load?

At 5.1 mil the polyethylene sheet is standard duty; it resists tearing and UV damage while staying waterproof, but it is not rated for heavy abrasion or long-term structural cover.

How does the 36 in grommet spacing affect tie-down options?

Aluminium grommets every 36 in along the hem let you secure the tarp with rope or bungee cords at regular intervals; the heat-sealed seams keep the grommets from pulling through.

Will the finished 11 ft 4 in by 24 ft 4 in size fit a standard 12 x 25 ft frame?

The finished dimensions are 11 ft 4 in wide by 24 ft 4 in long, so the tarp is slightly smaller than the 12 x 25 ft cut size; allow for the reduction when planning coverage.
