Value Brand Standard Duty Tarp 19 ft 6 in x 19 ft 6 in 20 Mil Brown

Standard duty brown tarp

This brown cotton canvas tarp measures 19 ft 6 in by 19 ft 6 in finished size and features a 20 mil thickness. It is rated for standard duty use and provides water resistant protection. Brass grommets spaced 24 in apart with a .5 in inside diameter allow secure tie down points. The fabric weighs 10 oz per square yard and is mildew and UV resistant.

Cotton canvas material limits

Cotton canvas is breathable but only water resistant, not fully waterproof, so prolonged heavy rain may penetrate. The material can shrink slightly when wet and requires dry storage to prevent mildew despite the resistant treatment. Standard duty construction suits temporary coverage rather than permanent outdoor installation. Brass grommets resist corrosion but the fabric edges need reinforcement for high wind loads.

20 mil thickness decides suitability

The 20 mil thickness determines whether this tarp withstands your intended abrasion and tear conditions. Thicker heavy duty tarps handle sharp debris and repeated folding better while thinner economy tarps cost less for light dust protection. Match the mil rating to the roughness of the surface and the duration of exposure. Buyers needing full waterproofing or fire retardant specs should look elsewhere.
