Standard Duty Tarp 3 ft 6 in x 7 ft 6 in
This standard duty tarp measures 3 ft 6 in by 7 ft 6 in finished size and is made from cotton canvas. It features a 20 mil thickness and a fabric weight of 10 oz/sq yd. The brown cover is water resistant, mildew resistant, and UV resistant. It suits general purpose covering tasks where breathable material is preferred.
Upgrade from lighter poly sheeting
Thicker 20 mil canvas replaces thin plastic sheets that tear quickly in wind or sun. The double stitched seams and brass grommets spaced 24 in apart add tie down security for longer outdoor exposure. The jump is worth it when a cover must survive weeks of weather rather than days.
Check grommet spacing and finished dimensions
Verify that the 24 in grommet spacing matches your tie down points and that the finished 3 ft 6 in by 7 ft 6 in coverage fits the area you need to protect. The cut size is larger at 4 x 8 ft so the finished tarp will be smaller. Ensure the .5 in grommet inside diameter accepts your rope or bungee hardware.

Questions about this item
What size grommets and spacing does this tarp have for tie-downs?
The tarp uses brass grommets with a 0.5 in inner diameter spaced every 24 in along the edges.
How should I secure the tarp so the grommets don't tear out?
Thread rope or bungee cords through each brass grommet and tension evenly across all points rather than pulling hard on a single corner.
Will the canvas need re-treatment to stay water resistant?
The 10 oz/sq yd cotton canvas is factory-treated for water resistance and mildew resistance; reapply a canvas waterproofing spray when water stops beading on the surface.
