Value Brand Standard Duty Tarp 5 ft 6 in x 7 ft 6 in 20 Mil Green

Standard Duty Cotton Canvas Tarp

The Value Brand Standard Duty Tarp is a green cotton canvas cover measuring 5 ft 6 in by 7 ft 6 in finished size. It is suited for temporary outdoor protection of equipment, firewood or ground cover where breathability is not required. The 20 mil thickness and 10 oz per square yard fabric weight provide basic resistance to tearing and mildew. Buyers needing insulated or high-visibility covers should look elsewhere.

Brass Grommets Spaced 24 Inches

Installation uses the brass grommets placed every 24 inches along the reinforced double-stitched hem. Tie-down ropes or bungee cords thread through these points to secure the tarp to frames, stakes or vehicles. The cotton canvas material can shrink when wet, so overtightening may pull grommets loose or distort the finished dimensions. Ensure anchor points align with the grommet spacing to avoid stress concentrations.

Water Resistant Not Waterproof Standard

The tarp is rated water resistant rather than fully waterproof, so prolonged heavy rain will eventually penetrate the cotton canvas. It carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. The standard duty rating means it is not designed for long-term structural shelter or heavy snow loads. Users requiring complete moisture barrier performance should consider alternative materials.
