Standard Duty Tarp 5 ft 6 in x 7 ft 6 in

This standard duty tarp measures 5 ft 6 in by 7 ft 6 in finished size. It is made from cotton canvas with a 20 mil thickness and 10 oz/sq yd fabric weight. The tan cover is water resistant and mildew resistant. Brass grommets are spaced every 24 in along the double stitched edges.

Capacity and headroom

The cover handles general outdoor protection such as shielding equipment, firewood or ground cover from rain and damp. Cotton canvas breathes but is not fully waterproof so prolonged heavy downpours will eventually seep through. Standard duty rating means it is not built for high wind loads or sharp abrasion.

Cotton canvas limits

The material is not breathable in the technical sense and offers no insulation or high visibility features. Brass grommets resist corrosion yet the 24 in spacing may require extra tie downs for large spans. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

Will the 24 in brass grommets line up with the eyelets on my older canvas cover?

The grommets are spaced 24 in apart along the finished edges, so measure your existing tie-down points to confirm alignment before fitting.

How can I verify the 20 mil cotton canvas is performing as a water-resistant barrier after installation?

Spray the surface with a hose; water should bead and run off without soaking through the 10 oz/sq yd fabric.

Does the package include tie-down ropes or only the double-stitched tarp with brass grommets?

Only the finished 5 ft 6 in x 7 ft 6 in tarp is supplied; ropes, bungees or clips must be purchased separately.
