Standard Duty Tarp 7 ft 6 in x 9 ft 6 in

This Zoro Select tarp is a standard-duty cover built for general-purpose protection. It uses polyester-coated cotton canvas with a finished size of 7 ft 6 in by 9 ft 6 in. The material weighs 15 oz per square yard and has a 15 mil thickness. Brass grommets with a .5 in inside diameter are spaced 24 in apart for tie-downs.

Upgrade from lighter poly sheets

The double-stitched seams and mildew-resistant fabric make this tarp worth the jump when lighter polyethylene sheets tear or degrade quickly. It provides water-resistant coverage for equipment, firewood or ground protection where a stronger weave is needed. The breathable canvas reduces condensation compared to non-breathable plastic alternatives.

Check grommet spacing and chemical warning

Verify that the 24 in grommet spacing matches your tie-down points or frame dimensions before ordering. The finished dimensions are smaller than the 8 x 10 ft cut size, so measure the coverage area carefully. This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What size grommets and spacing does the 7 ft 6 in x 9 ft 6 in tarp have?

The tarp has brass grommets with a 0.5 inch inside diameter spaced every 24 inches along the edges.

How do you secure this standard duty tarp without tearing the material?

Thread rope or bungee cords through the brass grommets rather than tying directly to the canvas; the double-stitched seams and 15 oz/sq yd fabric weight handle tension at the reinforced points.

When should the tarp be replaced based on its mildew resistance and water resistance rating?

Replace it when the green polyester coated cotton canvas shows persistent mildew stains that do not wash off or when water soaks through instead of beading on the surface.
