Standard-Duty Polyethylene Cover

The Value Brand tarp is a 20 x 20 ft polyethylene sheet designed for general-purpose protection. Its transparent finish allows light transmission while shielding equipment, materials or work areas from rain and debris. The standard-duty rating suits temporary coverage and light industrial use.

Sustained Weather Performance

Heat-sealed seams and rope-reinforced edges maintain integrity during extended exposure to wind and rain. UV-resistant and mildew-resistant additives prevent fabric degradation over weeks of outdoor deployment. Waterproof construction ensures consistent moisture rejection without delamination.

Aluminium Grommets and Finished Dimensions

Aluminium grommets spaced 36 in apart provide secure tie-down points that resist pull-through under load. The finished size of 19 ft x 19 ft 6 in is smaller than the cut dimensions, so allow for this reduction when planning coverage. Fabric weight of 3.4 oz/sq yd keeps the sheet manageable for single-person handling.

Questions about this item

How much heat builds up under the 5.1 mil polyethylene tarp when it sits in direct sun all day?

The transparent polyethylene lets sunlight through, so surfaces beneath will warm up; the material itself is UV resistant but not insulated.

What do I need to secure the 20 x 20 ft tarp with its 36 in grommet spacing?

You will need rope, bungee cords or tie-down straps to thread through the aluminium grommets spaced every 36 inches around the perimeter.

Will the 19 ft 6 in finished size cover the same footprint as my old 20 x 20 ft canvas tarp?

The finished dimensions are 19 ft by 19 ft 6 in, so it is slightly smaller than a full 20 x 20 ft canvas; allow for the reduction when planning coverage.
