Rimmed borosilicate test tubes, 72 pack

These clear glass tubes measure 10 mm in diameter and 75 mm in height. Each tube holds 3 mL or .03 oz of liquid. The Type I borosilicate glass resists thermal shock and chemical attack. They are supplied without closures or graduations.

Simple to use in standard racks and holders

The smooth rim allows quick pouring and easy insertion into common 10 mm tube racks. Without a screw cap or snap lid there is no threading to cross or gasket to lose. Autoclaving is straightforward because no plastic parts are present. Breakage is the main risk if tubes are dropped or knocked together.

3 mL capacity suits small-volume work

The nominal 3 mL volume handles typical aliquots for centrifugation, liquid handling and general lab procedures. Headroom above the liquid is limited, so vigorous mixing or boiling can cause spillover. Larger sample volumes will require a different tube size.
