ValuSoft Prison Tycoon 3 Lockdown game

Prison Management Simulation

Take control of a privately operated correctional facility and guide its growth from a low-security institution to a maximum-security SuperMax. You oversee every aspect of daily operations, including construction, staffing, and inmate welfare. The goal is to protect society while generating a profit through efficient management. Your decisions shape the entire prison ecosystem.

Security Level and Population Control

The core mechanic revolves around setting security classifications and managing distinct prisoner populations. You decide whether to house male or female inmates, civilian or military detainees, and adjust security intensity accordingly. Balancing guard hiring, armament, and budget constraints directly influences whether order is maintained or organized crime takes hold. Parole decisions add another layer of population management.

Sustained Operational Balancing

Long-term success depends on continuously juggling competing demands rather than solving isolated crises. Food rations, recreation access, and work detail assignments create ongoing ripple effects on prisoner morale and gang dynamics. Neglecting any single area for too long triggers riots that destabilise the entire facility. Profitability requires constant attention to the interconnected systems of care, custody, and control.
