Expandable 40L Travel Backpack

The Vancropak 664900gry is a carry-on backpack designed for weekend trips and short-haul travel. It measures 18 x 13 x 6.5 inches and expands 2 inches deeper to offer 40 litres of capacity. Weighing 2.59 lbs, the lightweight frame reduces shoulder strain during long walks. The TSA-friendly design opens 90–180° for quick airport screening.

Capacity and Organisation

The main compartment includes elastic straps, a dry and wet pocket, and a padded sleeve that fits a 17.3-inch laptop. A ventilated bottom compartment accommodates men's or women's size 10–12 shoes. Two packing cubes and a water-resistant toiletry bag are included for clothing and liquids. A side pocket holds an 18 oz bottle or umbrella.

Security and Airline Limits

A lockable zipper with a combination lock secures valuables inside the bag. The backpack fits most airline overhead bins when packed within the unexpanded dimensions. It is not suited for travellers who need checked-bag volume or wheeled transport for heavier loads. Buyers requiring a dedicated laptop briefcase or a smaller personal item under 18 inches should consider other formats.

Questions about this item

Will the 40L capacity fit alongside a wheeled suitcase on a train rack?

The bag measures 18 x 13 x 6.5 inches and expands two inches deeper, so it slides onto most overhead racks beside a standard carry-on case.

How can I confirm the 17.3-inch laptop sleeve protects my device after packing?

Place the laptop in the padded middle section, close the compartment, and press gently — the foam should compress evenly without the chassis touching the outer fabric.

Which organisers come inside the grey 664900gry model?

Two packing cubes for clothing and one water-resistant toiletry bag are included; a combination lock with a lock-hole zipper is also supplied.
