Adjustable height barstool

The Vandue Corporation Beta "Leather" barstool is an adjustable-height seat designed for kitchen counters, bars or casual dining spaces. Its gas-lift mechanism allows the seat height to move between 22.5" and 31" while the overall height ranges from 32.5" to 41". The stool swivels a full 360 degrees and is aimed at buyers who want a single seat that works at both table and bar heights.

Thermals noise and power

No electrical components are present so the barstool generates no heat, consumes no power and operates silently. The gas-lift strut is rated for at least 100,000 cycles and provides smooth, quiet height changes without any motor or fan noise. There are no thermal or acoustic considerations for the surrounding environment.

Build quality and connectors

The seat is moulded ABS wrapped in synthetic leather and measures 18" wide by 16" deep with a 10" back height. A chrome-plated steel base 15" in diameter includes a rubber ring to protect floors, and an 11" wide footrest is integrated into the column. Assembly is required and the unit weighs 16.5000 lb, giving a stable feel on hard floors.

Questions about this item

How do I assemble the gas lift and base, and which step is often missed?

Insert the gas lift into the base, then lower the seat onto the lift; the rubber floor ring on the chrome base must sit flat before use.

What part will need replacement after long-term use?

The gas lift is tested to 100,000 cycles; the synthetic leather wrap on the ABS shell may wear first.

At what height does the stool stop adjusting upward?

The seat height adjusts from 22.5" to 31"; overall height stops at 41".
