Compact Tenkeyless Form

The Varmilo VA87M Sea Melody is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard built around 87 keys in a US QWERTY ANSI layout. It connects through a detachable USB 2.0 cable measuring 50 inches and weighs 2.0 pounds. Cherry MX Red linear switches provide a consistent actuation feel without a tactile bump. Dye-sub PBT keycaps in blue and white resist shine and keep legends clear over extended use.

Suited For Typists And Gamers

This board suits users who want a compact wired keyboard with full N-key rollover and multimedia shortcuts on Windows. Mac owners should note that shortcut keys are not supported on macOS. The keyboard has no backlighting and no palm rest, so buyers who need illumination or integrated wrist support should look elsewhere.

Cherry MX Red Linear Switches

Cherry MX Red switches deliver a smooth, linear press with no click or tactile event, making them a common choice for rapid key repetition in games and long typing sessions. Because the switch type defines the overall feel, confirming a preference for linear actuation is the single factor that decides whether this keyboard matches the buyer's needs.

Questions about this item

How often will the Cherry MX Red switches need replacement under heavy daily use?

Cherry MX Red switches are rated for tens of millions of actuations, so replacement is unlikely for years of typical gaming or typing.

What is the first limit reached during extended gaming sessions with this keyboard?

The tenkeyless layout omits a numeric keypad, which may slow data-entry workflows during long sessions.

Does the wired USB 2.0 connection generate noticeable heat or draw high power after hours of use?

USB 2.0 wired operation draws minimal power and produces no perceptible heat during all-day use.
