What this extension rod is for

This Vaxcel 2277NN downrod extension lowers a ceiling fan to suit rooms with 13 foot ceilings. It is made for installers who need a single 48 inch rod rather than joining shorter pieces. The nickel finish coordinates with stain nickel, brushed nickel, chrome and flash silver fans.

Build quality and mounting implications

Steel construction provides strength and durability for permanent installation. The rod measures 48 inches long with a .75 inch diameter. Downrods are not meant to be connected to each other, so select the exact length required for the ceiling height.

Compatibility checks before ordering

This downrod ceiling fan extension is not universally compatible with all brands; verify that the rod matches the fan's mounting system before purchase. Choose the correct length for your room because only one rod is used per fan. Orders $75 or more ship free from the manufacturer.
