Product Identity

The Vaxcel 2299KK is a 72 in. black steel downrod extension designed for ceiling fans in rooms with 15 foot ceilings. It suits homeowners or installers who need to lower a compatible fan to the proper mounting height.

Capacity and Headroom

The rod measures 72 in. long with a .75 in. diameter, providing the drop required for 15 foot ceilings. It is not universally compatible with all brands and downrods are not meant to be connected to each other, so the correct single length must be chosen.

Build Integration

Steel construction supplies strength and durability for a secure installation. The black finish coordinates with oil shale, oil rubbed bronze, oil burnished bronze, noble bronze, aged bronze, and dark bronze fans. Compatibility must be verified before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will this 72 in. downrod fit my existing ceiling fan?

This Vaxcel 2299KK downrod is not universally compatible with all brands; verify your fan model accepts a 0.75 in. diameter steel rod before purchasing.

How can I confirm the downrod is installed correctly for a 15 foot ceiling?

The rod should sit flush against the mounting bracket with the set screw tightened securely; the fan should hang level and operate without wobble at all speeds.

Does the box include mounting hardware or do I need a separate kit?

The package contains the 72 in. black steel downrod only; mounting brackets, screws, and wiring connectors are sold separately.
