Colonial Outdoor Wall Light

The Vaxcel Lexington outdoor wall light brings a colonial carriage-house design to porches, entryways and garages. Its textured black finish and tapered clear glass panels suit traditional exteriors. A built-in dusk-to-dawn photocell switches the fixture on at night and off at daylight for safety and energy savings. The fixture is ETL listed and wet rated for exposed locations.

Installation Check Points

Confirm the mounting surface can support the 7.75-in wide by 14.5-in high by 8-in deep steel housing and that wiring access aligns with the back plate. The unit requires one 60 W E26 medium-base bulb, which is not supplied, and accepts LED equivalents. Mounting hardware and an instruction manual are included for a standard junction-box installation.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Weather-resistant steel construction and clear glass panels are designed for long-term outdoor exposure. The open-bottom design allows quick bulb changes without tools. The integrated photocell operates automatically, removing the need for manual switching or separate timers. Wet-rated construction ensures reliable performance in rain, snow and humidity.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The fixture includes mounting hardware and an instruction manual; one E26 medium-base bulb up to 60 W is required but not included.

Should I choose the 7.75 in or 14.5 in version?

Those are the single fixture's width and height — 7.75 in wide by 14.5 in high — not separate models to select.

What does the 60 W rating mean once the lantern is installed?

It is the maximum wattage for the single E26 socket; the integrated dusk-to-dawn photocell will switch that load on at night and off in daylight.
